Alexie Diakite is a writer and aspiring published author. She enjoys writing children’s books and young adult fantasy novels. She strives to share immersive and diverse stories with children in the hopes that they will fall in love with stories as much as she did growing up.

Alexie has written a collection of novellas and short stories, including Until Dawn and “The World on the Other Side.” She has also published the poem An Awakening and the short story “The Heart of the Band” in Issues 19 and 20 of The Wells Street journal, respectively. Recently, Alexie started a podcast called Diary of a Writer, which explores the challenges and triumphs of being a writer.

In her spare time, Alexie enjoys reading epic fantasy novels laced with romance, re-watching some of her favorite tv-shows, playing guitar, traveling, spending time with her friends and family, and riding her bike.

Alexie holds a BA in Biology with a minor in Creative Writing from Hamilton College, a Master’s Degree in Stem Cell Biology from Sorbonne Université, and a Master’s Degree in Creative Writing from the University of Westminster.
